Our classes and teaching are grounded in classical repertoire and inspired by the Pilates principles established by Joe himself. Our method is dedicated to delivering proper Pilates, laced with contemporary flavours and choreography. Delivered by an incredibly tight-knit and well equipped teaching team that add a truly personal touch to your class experience.     Favourite Pilates exercise: side kick kneeling (mat), control back (Reformer) and advanced bridging (Cadillac)

    Our namesake and founder, Victoria, is a fiery, passionate and authentic teacher who loves nothing more than being on a Reformer. A shameless lover of a fresh activewear set, she founded Vicalates with the intention of creating a luxurious and inviting space in which she could teach her take on the Pilates method. Whether in class or nestled in the Good Room for a private session, expect sass, support and lots of laughs. She’s hands on, often loud and very invested in enhancing your Pilates experience.

    Originally trained in Melbourne in 2018, she returned to her home city after a stint overseas in 2020 to forever change the Pilates game. She has since continued become internationally qualified and recognised through Balanced Body, under the tutorage of some of the United State’s best master trainers. A self-professed Pilates nerd, she founded Alignment Academy in 2023 to bring intelligent and approachable continuing education to the Pilates community.

    When not in the studio, you are likely to find her listening to country music, baking a cheesecake and busy being Brooklyn’s Mum.

  • Hi I’m Brooklyn, the resident studio pooch. My Mum rescued me in 2022 and I’ve grown up in the studio ever since. I’m primarily responsible for maintaining morale and distributing post-class snuggles. I love to greet you at the door of what is my second home and sometimes have a little nap on your Reformer.

    Whilst I am deaf, I am very good a Pilates (you should see my balance!) and thoroughly enjoy Salmon treats.

    Feels Like: A ray of sunshine on a perfect summer's day 

    Likes: Triathlons, Shopping, and Spending time with Ollie (her son)

    Dislikes: Mushrooms

    Favourite Pilates exercise: Long Stretch and Elephant 

    If you've been in studio and to classes you might recognise this face! Courtney was originally a client of Vicalates during her first pregnancy (yes, she was doing flying lunges 4 days before giving birth!) and before she knew it she had fallen in love with the method and has now joined the ladies in pink as a passionate, energetic and spicy Pilates Teacher.

    If you haven't met Courtney, then you have certainly seen or met her son, the OG Vicalates Baby, Ollie! Courtney has over a decade of experience with everything: swim, bike and running at an elite level and not to mention countless other sports (she is a legitimate ironwoman!). Her classes are carefully curated with a sprinkle of classical, dash of functional principles and splash of endurance. She is passionate about everything movement and loves to help other athletes and especially pre and postnatal mummas. If you're lucky, you might not only get Courtney taking your class, but Ollie might come along too, and trust us he's the perfect distraction. 

    When not teaching, you might find her in studio playing 'creche' for the other mums or out and about either swimming in the pool, running around Newstead or playing at the park with Ollie and her Hubby.

    Favourite Pilates Exercise: Short Spine and Mermaid

    Kylee is a calm, empowering and encouraging Pilates Teacher who fell in love with Reformer Pilates when she met Victoria in 2020. Our resident mermaid and day one client turned Teacher, Kylee is passionate about supportive (and spicy) movement.

    Currently studying her Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction, she blends classical repertoire with contemporary movement theory. Classes with Kylee are grounded in alignment and peppered with challenges, you can expect hands on adjustments and old school rnb playlists to keep the vibes high. She has a soft and kind energy so you’ll leave her classes feeling warm, fuzzy and of course, like you’ve worked hard.

    If she’s not in the studio you’ll catch her planning her classes at the beach on the Sunshine Coast, baking ( she makes very good treats) and learning to surf.

    Eliza is a warm, calm, and inspiring Pilates instructor with a passion for movement and mindfulness. As a former professional ballerina, she discovered Pilates as a way to strengthen the body, refine alignment, and cultivate a deeper mind-body connection.

    She seamlessly blends classical repertoire with a contemporary approach to create dynamic and empowering sessions. Her sessions are thoughtfully crafted to help you move with strength, precision, and flow. Expect graceful transitions, intentional cues, and just enough spice to keep you feeling challenged and accomplished.

    When not teaching classes you are likely to find her attending a class in studio, enjoying her daily walk or planning her classes.

    Feels Like: a new jumper on a winter morning

    Likes: fun facts, matcha and a fresh playlist

    Favourite Pilates exercise: Grasshopper or Long Spine

    Our girl Lara is a considered and challenging teacher whose love for Pilates radiates both inside and outside the studio.

    Currently studying Physiotherapy Honours, Lara combines classical repertoire with functional principles. Every class plan is carefully thought out to target specific muscle groups or movement patterns leaving you strengthened and nearly always shaking! Classes with Lara are fiery and efficient, sometimes educational whether it be about your anatomy or some fun fact about the origins of Pilates. If you’re lucky she may only mess up her left and rights once (or twice) in the class. She has a killer sweet smile and legs for days.

    When not teaching classes, you are likely to find her drinking matcha (she takes it on almond with honey, just fyi), listening to a podcast or attending a class at the studio.
